Adult Swim is known for its absurdist programming and Children’s Hospital takes that to the extreme. A parody of every medical drama ever made, the show stars Rob Corddry as a surgeon who wears clown makeup because he believes in the healing power of laughter. That makeup took on a life of its own through a creepy and hilarious Facebook app called The Children’s Hospital Ganger. What started as a fun digital stunt quickly spread online and even began showing up in the real world, including the show’s own marketing.
